Also excellent are the Google Chromecast with Google TV, the Roku Express 4K, the Apple TV 4K and the Amazon Fire TV Stick. What is the best streaming device for your TV? Our top recommendation is the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The film sees the return of Emperor Palpatine as Kylo Ren's The First Order and the rebels led by Rey prepare for a final confrontation on the planet known as Exegol. The conclusion to the Skywalker saga is out now and available on Disney Plus. Plus, there's the new Disney+ series. You can see how all this quickly becomes a mess. They take place between the originals and prequels but released during the most recent "sequel" trilogy.
And then there's the Anthology films: Rogue One (2016) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). You hop between Episodes IV-VI (the original trilogy released between 19), then Episodes I-III (the prequel trilogy released between 19), and Episodes VII-IX (the sequel trilogy released between 20). Sure, the “I am your father” surprise stays intact, but the storyline is jumbled. Watching the release date order also has unsatisfying points.

Watching chronologically also spoils the biggest twist in the series by prematurely revealing the identity of Luke's father. While the chronological order might be the obvious choice, some argue it's not as enjoyable because you start with The Phantom Menace, our least-favourite film. You can watch the movies and shows by release date order or in chronological order, for instance. They pretty much built their own canon within the Star Wars universe. There are many ways you can revisit the Star Wars saga. They could explore more sophisticated and philosophical dilemmas and topics because they weren't beholden to a storyline that trapped them. With Kotor, Bioware and Obsidian got to go deeper and blending great character development with great world building because it's a video game and comic series. Such moral dilemma's could've been explored better in a different spinoff movie based around delivering the message that rich people aren't your friend, or slavery is bad, e.t.c.
Corporate greed, slavery or the Jedi being corrupt doesn't really fit into a storyline that's just about the Skywalker's doing stuff. The reason TLJ failed for me (outside of the appallingly bad writing and plot), and why really the whole movie saga was a letdown at times was that they tried to inject moral dilemmas into a story where it didn't fit. The movies are really more about the story of the Skywalkers (and Rey, whatever the hell she is) more than they are about the universe at large or any overarching moral dilemma. I feel like the Kotor series did a lot better job and demonstrating and explaining the nuances of the Star Wars universe than the movies have, and was a lot more skillful at it.
